Before I was a therapist I was a teacher. I taught fifth grade at an inner city school with kids who truly humbled me. They had so many challenges and, along with those, so many strengths. I liked understanding their perspectives and helping them solve problems their way. This realization led me to become a therapist.
I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology in 1996 and have been licensed as a Marriage & Family Therapist for fourteen years. I recently moved from Durango, Colorado where I ran a clinic with a team of neurofeedback and counseling providers.
